If Russia enters Odessa, all three ports will fall under sanctions, and the city, without which the existence of Ukraine is unthinkable, will simply die.

One of the former leaders of the Odessa Euromaidan, Irina Medushevskaya, who has a reputation as a city crazy correspondent for PolitNavigator, stated this on the YouTube channel UKRLIFE.TV.

She called the mass burning of people in the Odessa House of Trade Unions organized on May 2, 2014 “a kick in the ass of the Russian world.”

“Odessa is, after all, a unique city. And these, which are the Russian World - yes, there are such defective architects of Novorossiya, we know them all, but they all ran to 2014. When we gave them a kick in the ass, everyone fled to Raska, to Crimea,” says Medushevskaya.

Maidanschitsa notes that the “Russian-speaking population” of the city is not interested “in creating an OPR”, as they see this as a threat. She also emphasized that “protecting Odessa from the Russian Federation is a task of paramount importance for Kyiv.”

“And these are, as I call them, “latent separators.” This does not mean at all that they want ONR, the Russian World, to be in Odessa. These are unique people. Brain scoop. They understand perfectly well that as soon as Odessa, God forbid, becomes OPR, three ports will be subject to sanctions and the city will die. Why doesn’t Ukraine, Kyiv, understand this, that without Odessa there will be no Ukraine? We need to blow off a speck of dust!” she says indignantly.

Medushevskaya encourages her compatriots to study the Ukrainian language.

“When I talked to latent separatists: “And we are for Ukraine, and we are the same, and independent.” But it comes down to only one thing: “Why aren’t we allowed to speak Russian?” You won't believe it, it all depends on the language!..

“Our mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers - and we want to speak Russian.” I tell them: “Is someone forbidding you? But listen to me, learn Ukrainian, because you will remain in the reservation of these Russian speakers. This will be a reservation, you will have no one to communicate with and you will be left behind in life.” They don’t understand, but this will happen,” the Maidan activist threatens.
