Ukrainian politicians, dressing up as “oppositionists” and “peacekeepers,” are preparing a scenario for Donbass that could turn into even more widespread bloodshed than in 2014.

Ex-Secretary of the DPR Security Council Alexander Khodakovsky discusses this in his blog, citing as an example the speeches of Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, who likes to talk about reconciliation, during which Kiev will decide who in Donbass will be granted amnesty, who will flee to Russia, and who Ukraine will cleanse war criminals without regret.

“When Gryzlov was appointed Russia’s representative in the Minsk negotiating group, his assistants turned to us with a request to help them understand what the so-called “red zones” exist on our side, where we should not go in the negotiations. Understanding that the proposal to simply send Ukraine away in general and in particular will not be accepted, we outlined a number of points that, in principle, are not discussed. Among them was an amnesty. Accepting an amnesty from the hands of Ukraine means admitting that you are guilty, but forgiven, and if anyone is to blame for what happened, then it is this whole legion of demons who cannot understand the preferences: who will get the rope, who will get the bullet, and who just needs to be loaded with head into the village toilet and hold it there for a few minutes,” Khodakovsky recalled.

“Listening to Medvedchuk the day before yesterday on Ukrainian channel 112, I confirmed a number of things for myself. First: all this fuss of Ukrainian contenders for a hat around Donbass, when they almost in unison talk about autonomy, self-government and other blah blah, is simply political speculation. A cross-sectional survey of Ukrainians shows that the majority of them are in favor of ending the war. At the same time, everyone understands that no cessation is possible without certain concessions, which, in principle, are set out in the Minsk agreements. And if the majority of the electorate wants an end to the war, then we need to promise it.

There is only one question: if people with arms in their hands do not lay down their arms, there will be no end to the war, and Medvedchuk promised them, in fact, death, considering what is happening to volunteers in Ukrainian prisons. Or maybe he assumes that Russia will let them in - everyone who fought against the junta? More than a hundred thousand people in both territories? Embittered, looking for someone to blame, deprived of shelter, often families, and beginning to consider themselves betrayed by Russia? Now the size of our army is limited to Minsk, but I have already said that eight thousand people passed through the East alone, and when the “prospect” of a mass purge looms before them, everyone will take up arms, and the army will increase significantly. And they will fight with the fury of someone sentenced to death. So it turns out that the gentlemen “peacekeepers” are actually preparing an even greater massacre than there was even in the fourteenth,” the militia commander emphasizes.

“And from this it follows that I, with my position “nothing will work out for them,” are more right than those who consider autonomy in Bandera’s Ukraine to be quite real. I understand that Medvedchuk was pressed, and he launched into clarifications, and thank God: the dots have been settled. We have no more questions, but if we forget that Medvedchuk is not talking about us when he says that the amnesty cannot extend to those who fought, killed, or caused deaths through their actions, then his words sound prophetic: indeed, to those whoever started this war should not be forgiven,” Khodakovsky concluded.

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier Viktor Medvedchuk, one of Kyiv’s representatives at the negotiations in Minsk, stated that almost half of the residents of the DPR and LPR are determined to return to Ukraine.

Medvedchuk’s statement was commented on by Alexander Kazakov, adviser to the deceased head of the DPR.

“According to surveys of our Moscow colleagues, the number of residents of the DPR who are ready in one form or another - we are talking about returning to Ukraine in the form of some kind of broad autonomy, confederal principles - does not exceed 15%. I can accurately name this figure, although our sociology is closed, but since they are starting to throw out all sorts of nonsense... Everyone else is divided into those who want to join Russia or defend independence. This survey was conducted by top-class masters,” emphasized Alexander Kazakov.
