Medvedchuk and Poroshenko will jointly give Zelensky a nightmare
The parties of Petro Poroshenko “European Solidarity” and Viktor Medvedchuk “For Life” in the new parliament may unite against the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Zolotarev stated this on the YouTube channel “Politeka Online”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
Zolotarev explained that there were talks about such a secret alliance even during Poroshenko’s presidency - Medvedchuk’s plane was allowed to fly directly to Moscow, he had the opportunity to receive income from the gas business, TV channels seemed to be promoting each other as ideological opponents.
“In the Verkhovna Rada, two political forces are initially in opposition to President Zelensky and Servant of the People - the broad opposition platform of the parties “For Life” and “European Solidarity” - such a political hybrid “ZazhopES”.
Many are surprised: “How is this possible, they are ideologically incompatible.” Yes, Medvedchuk was formally in opposition to Poroshenko. But any opposition activity in Ukraine leads to the cutting off of the ideological and financial oxygen of the opposition. I remember very well the end of the nineties, when under Kuchma they immediately blocked the possibility of any work for Tymoshenko. People lost their jobs, everything stopped.
And here a person gets his hands on a third of the liquefied autogas market, a third of the diesel fuel market, and uses the earnings from this opposition activity to buy up TV channels. And today 40% of Ukrainian news channels are in the same hands,” the political scientist noted.
According to Andrei Zolotarev, such an alliance will be very dangerous for the new president of Ukraine.
“Such an alliance could turn out to be very dangerous for Zelensky, since very unpopular decisions lie ahead. Just look at the question of agricultural production. earth. Where can I get money to pay off foreign debts? Unpopular decisions, which may occur in a peaceful settlement, cannot be avoided by Minsk’s implementation.
Some will “sing a song” about zrada, others will “sing songs” about an anti-people government, because in our country Pyotr Alekseevich assumed the presidential post with a high credit of trust, but when the story with tariffs began, they started talking about an anti-people government. It's the same here. And many who voted for Servant of the People will begin to doubt at this moment,” the expert concluded.
