Medvedchuk escaped from house arrest
Verkhovna Rada deputy from the OPZZh party and godfather of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Viktor Medvedchuk, escaped from house arrest.
This was reported by the Ukrainian “Zerkalo Nedeli”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
On February 26, the Prosecutor General’s Office instructed the National Police to check the presence of Medvedchuk at the address where he is under house arrest. However, the deputy was not at the specified address.
Journalists report that the reliability of this information was unofficially confirmed by one of the deputy prosecutors general of Ukraine. Since he has no procedural relation to the case of Viktor Medvedchuk, he refused to give an official comment.
Information about the escape was also confirmed by former Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko. He accused Viktor Medvedchuk of the fact that the deputy knew in advance about the impending Russian special operation. As evidence, the nationalist cited the departure of the deputy’s wife abroad.
“It will be more difficult with the traitor Medvedchuk, if he is not caught now, then he will spend the rest of his life in the Russian Federation together with Yanukovych,” Gerashchenko demands.
