Medvedchuk was promoted not by his visit to Moscow, but by the screeching of the Svidomo media - political scientist
The visits of the leaders of the Opposition Platform - For Life party to Moscow are not the main reason for their successful participation in the early parliamentary elections, where this political force is gaining 13 percent of the votes.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the YouTube channel “Topinform”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Nothing radical has changed since their trip,” Pogrebinsky said.
“That is, I understand correctly that your message to Russia is that “guys, there is no need to promote Medvedchuk and the Opposition Platform” on your talk shows, it is meaningless because it does not give any rating...” began the presenter.
“I didn’t know in advance that this would not give any rating, I found out just by the result,” the expert admitted.
“What could it be that these trips gave: firstly, they gave reminders that if you want to vote for some pro-Russian force, then vote for these, and if people who don’t like this team voted for Akhmetov’s list and Sharia (he is just on this field, without going into details, since his effect is close to Zelensky’s effect, this is different), then these trips resulted in the inclusion of figures [OPZZh leaders Medvedchuk and Boyko] on the agenda before the elections.
We saw that the mention of these figures in surveys increased significantly, they were in the shadows - those who watched “112” were already accustomed to them and did not pay attention to Medvedchuk and Boyko, and when they went, all channels showed, including even “ advantages" [oligarch Kolomoisky's channel "1+1"]. And this is to put competitors on the agenda a week before the elections (Medvedchuk was in the European Parliament a week, and then in St. Petersburg) - I believe that this added a percentage and a half,” Pogrebinsky said.
