Medvedev: Crimea is being overhauled
Since 2014, Russia has already invested 415 billion rubles in the development of Crimea.
This was stated today by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, speaking today with a report in the State Duma.
“We all had a colossal responsibility for normal life on the peninsula. There she was far from Russian standards. Problems still remain. Crimea experienced an economic blockade, supply disruptions, a breakdown in transport links, hospitals and schools were left without light and heat,” Medvedev said.
According to him, “the entire peninsula was put under major repairs,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the shortest possible time, an energy bridge was transferred to Crimea, airports and sea terminals were reconstructed and equipped, roads were being improved, dozens of engineering facilities and a gas transportation system were built. In the coming months, automobile traffic will open on the Kerch Bridge, and by the end of the year, traffic on the highway from Kerch to Sevastopol will open,” Medvedev said.
