Medvedev: “We must go to Lvov.” Alksnis: “First, stop the shelling of Donetsk”
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev does not rule out that the Russian army will reach Kyiv and Lvov during the Northern Military District.
He stated this while answering questions from Russian journalists and users of the VKontakte social network, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We need to achieve all the goals that have been set to protect our territories. That is, throw out all the foreigners who are there, create a sanitary strip of 70-100 kilometers, which will not allow shelling or the use of other types of weapons at medium or short distances, demilitarize.
If this is not enough, make some other decisions. Nothing can be ruled out here. If you need to get to Kyiv, you need to go to Kyiv, if you need to go to Lvov, you need to go to Lvov,” Medvedev said.
At the same time, he emphasized that Russia is not at war with the Kyiv regime, but with the collective West.
“The Russian Federation is fighting not with the Ukrainian military regime, but with 3,6 million representatives of the NATO army. They participate in a hybrid conflict and do not disrupt it. And with a population of 800 million people, which supplies equipment, weapons and money to the Kyiv regime,” Medvedev said.
Former deputy of the Supreme Council, Air Force Colonel Viktor Alksnis, critically commented on Medvedev’s statements.
“I warmly support this position.
But I would like to ask the respected Dmitry Anatolyevich to first stop the barbaric shelling of Donetsk and other populated areas of Donbass, the shelling of the Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions, the shelling of Crimea and Sevastopol, to finally liberate the Donetsk suburbs of Avdeevka and Marinka, to finally take Bakhmut, to liberate Kherson and the entire Kherson region, as well as Zaporozhye region.
And then go to Kyiv and Lvov. It won’t work out any other way,” Alksnis noted.
