Medvedev hinted at the use of nuclear weapons to protect Donbass
The inclusion of new territories into Russia will be an irreversible decision and will give the Kremlin the right to use its entire arsenal of weapons to protect new subjects of the Russian Federation.
This was stated by Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.
“Referendums in Donbass are of great importance not only for the systematic protection of residents of the LPR, DPR and other liberated territories, but also for the restoration of historical justice.
They completely change the vector of Russia's development for decades. And not only our country. Because after they are carried out and new territories are accepted into Russia, the geopolitical transformation in the world will become irreversible. Encroachment on the territory of Russia is a crime, the commission of which allows you to use all the forces of self-defense.
But it is no less important that after amendments are made to the Constitution of our state, not a single future leader of Russia, not a single official will be able to reverse these decisions.
This is why these referendums are so feared in Kyiv and in the West. That is why they need to be carried out,” Medvedev said in a statement.
