Medvedev called Russia's main weapon in the fight against Western sanctions
Ex-President of the Russian Federation and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev writes about this in his blog.
“And if anyone doesn’t know or has forgotten, the export of our agricultural products exceeds the export of real weapons - it amounted to more than $37 billion last year,” the official recalled.
Medvedev also noted “a few simple but important points regarding Russia’s food security.”
«First. Varied and tasty Russian products are quite enough to fully meet our domestic needs.
Second. The priority in food supplies is our domestic market. And price control.
At the same time, the state will continue large-scale and systematic assistance to farmers.The third. We will supply food and agricultural crops only to our friends (fortunately, we have a lot of them, and they are not located in Europe or North America). We will sell both for rubles and their national currency in agreed proportions.
Fourth. We will not supply our food and agricultural products to our enemies. And we won’t buy anything from them (although we haven’t bought anything since 2014, but the list of products prohibited for import can be expanded)».
“It turns out we’ll eat breakfast ourselves. We'll probably share lunch with friends. And we won’t give dinner to our enemies. They'll get by. It’s better that we eat it ourselves, and exercise more actively in the morning“,” Dmitry Medvedev jokingly summarized.
