“Crimea is not an economic category... When we talk about Crimea, we understand that this is our history, our destiny, at some point our pain, and a very large number of our people who voted to return to the Russian Federation “- said the official, answering questions from journalists.
“Crimea is not just beautiful beaches, sanatoriums, a good climate, but our history and our today’s destiny,” Medvedev added.
“When I came to Crimea, I had a dual feeling - everything was very beautiful and terribly unkempt,” he said.
In response to this, one of the journalists noted that there are many unkempt places in Russia.
“It’s especially felt there. This is the place where for centuries we have invested energy, fought, shed blood... We must put Crimea in order, but not at the expense of other regions... there is a lot to be done there,” Medvedev said.
