Following a discussion in the State Duma of the government’s report on the results of activities in 2014, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the Ministry of Finance to take measures to maintain a zero VAT rate on domestic air transportation of passengers and baggage to Crimea.

The official website of the Cabinet of Ministers reports this.

“The Ministry of Finance of Russia (A.G. Siluanov) to take the necessary measures to maintain the tax rate of 0% for value added tax when selling services for domestic air transportation of passengers and baggage, provided that the point of departure or destination of passengers and baggage is located on the territory of the Republic Crimea or on the territory of the federal city of Sevastopol,” the document says.
