Medvedev instructed to address water shortages in Crimea

The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources must prepare a program for eliminating water shortages in Crimea by September 10.

The corresponding order was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The document notes that before this date it is necessary to create an interdepartmental working group on water supply issues for the Crimean Peninsula and other water-scarce regions.

“With the involvement, among other things, of representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Rosatom state corporation, the Russian Academy of Sciences and interested subjects of the Russian Federation; within the framework of this working group, develop and present a program to address issues of eliminating water shortages in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation,” the text of the order says.
