Crimean political scientist Ivan Mezyukho stated this in a commentary to the ATR TV channel, commenting on the recent meeting of members of the Mejlis with government officials in the Council of Ministers of Crimea.
“First of all, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people itself should be interested in reformatting, if it does not want to completely disappear from the political life of the Republic of Crimea. Because it is absolutely obvious that with the anti-Russian position taken by individual representatives of the Majlis, with the situation of an uncertain political status, this organization will no longer be able to exist in Russian legal realities,” the expert believes.
