Kyiv, September 27 (PolitNavigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – The FSB mainly searches the houses of faithful Tatars, and often plants drugs during the search, said the head of the Mejlis, Refat Chubarov, on the Ukrainian TV channel “TBi”.

“The FSB is conducting searches among devout Tatars. They act precisely according to this criterion, often planting drugs during a search. If you look at exactly who is kept for many hours at the border, who is removed from trains, it becomes clear that Russia has lists of faithful believers, according to which they act.

We are trying to resist this, challenging many decisions in international courts, but we are not always able to achieve results. For them in the Russian Federation, Tatars are dangerous separatists. Only Ukraine could protect us, but this was not done, so now many Tatars feel disappointed,” says Chubarov.
