The Mejlis behaves like the heroine of “Dogs in the Manger,” - Ilyasov
Simferopol, December 19 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) – Crimean Deputy Speaker Remzi Ilyasov compared the behavior of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars with the behavior of the heroine of the cult film “Dog in the Manger.”

“The Mejlis is now behaving like the heroine of the film “Dog in the Manger,” the politician said, answering a question from IA QHA.
“Every delegate of the Kurultai, every member of the Majlis today must think about what he is doing, why people elected him. Don’t just engage in unfounded demagoguery. Especially during this fateful period. If the delegates of the Kurultai do not understand this, we will have both a “second kurultai” and a “third kurultai”, this will be a split among the people,” added Ilyasov.
The vice speaker predicts that “under the influence and dependence on external factors, members of the Mejlis will not be able to make the proper decision, and in the end, those people who want to create a government of the Crimean Tatar people in exile will achieve this, and this will not make it any easier for us.”
Ilyasov also stated that he was negative about the idea of holding a session of the Kurultai in Istanbul:
“No one will implement this decision,” he is convinced.
Ilyasov said that he has not maintained any contact with People’s Deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev since May 4th.
