Mejlis member Lenur Islyamov will be fired from the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea
Moscow - Simferopol, May 20 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) - The State Council of Crimea will consider the issue of dismissing Deputy Prime Minister of the autonomy Lenur Islyamov, who was recommended to be appointed by the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, Kommersant reports with reference to Interfax.

According to the chairman of the Crimean State Council Commission on Interethnic Relations, Edip Gafarov, the decision to appoint Mr. Islyamov as Deputy Prime Minister, who was responsible, in particular, for the settlement of the Crimean Tatars and other peoples who returned to Crimea after forced resettlement, was a mistake.
“The entire program for the resettlement of deportees in Crimea is under attack,” said Lentun Bezaziev, a member of the Presidium of the State Council.
The dismissal of Islyamov, who has long had Russian citizenship, has a business in Moscow, and is considered a representative of the compromise wing of the Majlis, became part of the campaign of the new Crimean authorities against the national parliament of the Crimean Tatars. Previously, the authorities blocked the channels for financing the Majlis from abroad, and the ex-head of the organization, Mustafa Dzhemilev, was banned from entering Russia and Crimea.
Let us also recall that on May 18, for the first time in the last 20 years, the Crimean authorities banned the Tatars from holding a funeral rally in the central square (Lenin Square) in Simferopol.
