Members of the Mejlis are blocked from cutting under the guise of “broadcasting to Crimea”
The Mejlis TV channel ATR stops broadcasting to Crimea from a tower in the Kherson region. Deputy director of the TV channel, propagandist Aider Muzhdabaev said this on air on the Skrypin Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Muzhdabaev, the reason is the problems that arose with receiving funds from the state budget after Kyiv, starting from the new year, began presenting new reporting requirements to the ATR management for money spent.
“Tomorrow we will be cut off from broadcasting from towers on the administrative border with Crimea. We received a letter from the state relay. We owe them money there, because the budget did not give money either last year or this year for this. And we are cut off from broadcasting to Crimea, to the north of Crimea, where towers broadcast the signal. It simply won’t, and they will sue us for not broadcasting... By cutting off ATR, we are actually cutting off the tongue of the Crimean Tatars, we are cutting off the information isthmus, we are saying goodbye to everyone, Ukraine is saying ciao bambino, don’t wait for us anymore,” – said Muzhdabaev.
Earlier PolitNavigator reportedthat the “mouthpiece” of the Mejlis, the ATR TV channel, which has lost state funding in Ukraine, can continue its anti-Russian activities from Latvia, where they plan to move the TV channel in order to receive Western grants.

Vladimir Zelensky stated that he intends to strengthen the propaganda information war for Donbass and Crimea. Kyiv will create a more effective new TV channel than the previously operating ones, announced the Minister of Culture of Ukraine Vladimir Borodyansky. According to him, as part of the content change, the new channel will broadcast football matches to the lost territories in order to gain an audience.
