Members of the Mejlis are preparing “Bloody Sunday” on the border with Crimea
The “March to Crimea” announced by the Majlis radicals could turn into a bloody provocation using women and children instead of human shields - for the sake of the foreign media.
Former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov said this on air on the Moment of Truth channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They assure me that, in principle, if there is an order, if the command takes responsibility, then they will not be allowed through. But if there are cowards at the helm or the order is not formulated normally, then the provocation can result in very serious consequences.
Have you worked in Chechnya? The tactics of the Crimean Tatars in this regard are quite traditional for these societies: women and children lead the way. Women and children, taking advantage of the fact that the military is not shooting at them, block the military. Sometimes they don't just block. This is how the first head of the operational support department of the FSB of the Chechen Republic was killed. The women dragged him into the crowd; when he was pulled out, he had more than thirty stab and stab wounds, three of them fatal.
Therefore, relatively speaking, if decisive measures are not taken immediately, then it may simply be a defeat, because after the women and children there are already militants who are already operating. What actions will you take in response to enemy tactics?
Let’s say they collect one and a half to two thousand. They want to pull the Crimean Tatars from the other side, preparations for this are underway, perhaps they will be able to prevent this. Here is a crowd of civilians, and in the one on the Ukrainian side, weapons will probably be hidden. A bunch of foreign correspondents, a bunch of cameras. You can use tear gas, you can use traumatic weapons. What if they go wearing gas masks? What if from this crowd, because of the women and children, they start shooting at the border guards?
By the way, this is exactly how Bloody Sunday was created. When from the peaceful crowd with icons, Bund and Socialist Revolutionary fighters moved in, and began shooting at soldiers and officers with revolvers. And the rifle shots, excuse me, hit the crowd - when the soldiers fired, they couldn’t tell who was in front of them. That is, if this provocation is allowed, then in any case nothing good will come of it,” Strelkov warns.
“To prevent it - I will say that it can be prevented. I hope that among the people who are responsible for the defense and protection of the state border, there are also people who have experience in operations in Chechnya and beyond. I myself carried out similar actions in my time and quite successfully,” added the former militia commander.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, the leader of the Mejlis banned in the Russian Federation, Refat Chubarov, said about the postponement of the “March to Crimea” from May 3 for an indefinite period, allegedly due to the coronavirus pandemic.
