Because the Kuchuk-Kainardzhi agreement, which was concluded in 1774 and within the framework of which Crimea, the Crimean Khanate should be an independent state, then in 1783, in violation of this agreement, the Russian Federation declared war on the Crimean Khanate and the Crimean Tatars.
