Members of the Mejlis register the militants killed in Donbass as victims of an accident
Militants of the Majlis fighting on the Ukrainian side against the republics of Donbass (banned in the Russian Federation) are forced to hide their losses when they take the bodies of the dead to their homeland.
Enver Bekirov, a Mejlis activist of the Crimea SOS organization, spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Imagine: a family that has not been able to properly honor their deceased son for five or six years, that is forced to remain silent, that is carrying their son across the country in a zinc coffin with a certificate that he died in an accident, and that avoids any memories of this because it is dangerous for the whole family.
Imagine a family where the father is fighting on the side of Ukraine, and he receives a summons that he was subject to forced conscription in Crimea, and at any moment he could find himself on opposite sides of the line of fire with his own son. These are the living stories of the Crimean Tatars,” reported the Mejlis member.
