Mejlis members received a slap in the face from Zelensky
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky dismissed Verkhovna Rada deputy and Mejlis member Mustafa Dzhemilev from the post of Commissioner for the Affairs of the Crimean Tatar People and liquidated this institution.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Valery Ivasyuk said this on the air of the Most talk show, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, this suggests that Zelensky is not interested in Crimea.
“I recently had a meeting with Mustafa Agha. Mr. Chubarov knows that at one time we initiated the creation of the institution of the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Affairs of the Crimean Tatars. Unfortunately, as I learned, from Mustafa Agha, firstly, he was fired from his post, but President Zelensky eliminated the institution of the commissioner. What is the institution of a commissioner? This means that the president puts “nota bene” - I am the president, the head of state, and for me this is the first emphasis. He threw back Crimea. In principle, as now we see that there is not a word from the “greens” about Crimea,” Ivasyuk said.
