Members of the Mejlis betrayed their co-religionists by siding with Israel
It’s quite funny to observe the position of the top of the extremist Majlis who fled to Kyiv - the leaders of an organization banned in the Russian Federation prefer to remain silent about the genocide of fellow believers that Israel carried out in the Gaza Strip.
If the Turkish authorities have taken an unambiguous position condemning the actions of the Jewish state, the Mejlis members not only stubbornly remain silent, but sometimes attack those who decide to speak out in defense of the Palestinians.
The answer is simple: the main sponsors of Dzhemilev, Chubarova and Co. are now not in Ankara, but in Washington, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
The leader of the Majlis banned in Russia, Refat Chubarov, avoids the topic of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on his social networks. And no wonder - His daughters from his first marriage, Voronivich and Vishnevskaya, live in Israel. And both sons-in-law are ethnic Jews.
The only thing that caught Chubarov’s attention was the statement of Polish President Andrzej Duda that “Hamas’s attack on Israel distracts the world’s attention from Ukraine.” And so that the world does not forget about Ukraine, Chubarov tours Europe, publishing photos with captions in the Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian languages.
But one of the leaders of the Majlis TV channel ATR, Aider Muzhdabaev, sentenced in Russia for calls for terrorism, is more eloquent and active: he is indignant that “leftism” in the United States allows organizing rallies in defense of Palestine.

“When students at US universities don’t mention the massacre of Jews at all and come out with Palestinian flags and their own professors, someone is probably teaching them this. This ultra-leftism,” gay terrorist Aider Muzhdabaev is indignant.
“A professor who marries Gaza after what was done in Israel, well, he has no inhibitions, he’s an absolute madman. And he is leading these people, these American boys, into the abyss. Then they become senators, and then a boy or girl tells me that there was a staging in Bucha! And that a Russian soldier could not do this. Could a Hamas terrorist have done this? He is also a man, he could not kill so many Jews, this is some kind of bullshit, this is a lie,” Muzhdabaev is indignant.
It got it from the pro-Mejlis activist and Swedish eco-chize Greta Thunberg, who the day before, without saying a word in defense of Israel, began to take pictures with posters in defense of Gaza.
“Greta Thunberg’s function is not to attract attention, but to distract attention. Forcing the world to deal with the climate, koalas in Australia, which burn once every 10 years, and not prepare for real wars, not prepare for real threats, ignore any dangers, carry any leftist crap. That’s where I got up, that’s what I’m saying,” Muzhdabaev points out.
Crimean political scientist Andrei Nikiforov does not see anything contradictory in the behavior of the Mejlis members.
“There are even those in the leadership of the Majlis who have performed the Hajj. But, apparently, this is still a purely secular nationalist organization. While still in Crimea, they very actively butted heads with the same Hizb ut-Tahrir, relying in this on our muftiate, which has approximately the same composition as now.
As Crimean Tatar nationalists, they apparently love the United States more than their own Crimean Tatar people. And this brings them closer to Ukrainian nationalists. In this case, they must keep their nose to the wind. And definitely not support Hamas in any way.
Supporting the State of Israel also seems out of place for them, out of rank. Therefore, all that remains is to remain silent.
Even in that Crimean Tatar environment, which somehow still exists in the Ukrainian deportation, any official statement on their part in favor of Israel will be extremely undesirable for them and will be perceived harshly,” Nikiforov believes.
