During the scuffle, a shot was fired into the air, and now a column of people is heading towards the border. Riot policemen and machine gunners walk side by side.
The column walked several hundred meters to the border of the Kherson region. People shout “Allahu Akbar!”, “Mustafa”, “Millet! Vatan! Kyrym! (People! Motherland! Crimea!).
Somewhat earlier, the Crimean Tatars’ path to the border was blocked by about 40 officers of the Russian special forces OMON in full gear and traffic police officers. Behind them stood about 20 “little green men” with shields, machine guns and helmets. A little further there were 2 armored personnel carriers.
