The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars assures that the blockade of Crimea is legal, the robberies and beatings of people on the border with the peninsula are “isolated cases.” Mejlis member Eskender Bariev stated this on the air of the “Issue of National Security” program.

According to him, there is an “excess of authority” by the participants in the action. At the same time, the Mejlis member does not specify who gave them what powers.
