If Ukraine does not agree to the demands of the Crimean Tatars, then they will become radicalized, and the very concept of “Ukraine” will disappear for them. Lenur Islyamov, the former vice-speaker of the Russian Crimea, businessman and owner of the ATR TV channel, stated this on air on the Espresso TV channel.

According to him, the Crimean Tatars are “the key without which there is no Ukraine.”

“If the authorities do not hear us, we will become even more radicalized. We will continue to move forward, because this cannot be tolerated any longer. If the whole of Ukraine does not hear us, then we will know that Ukraine has no future either. We are the key to Crimea. Without this key there is no Ukraine. If Ukraine says that I cannot protect my borders, protect my citizens, there is no longer a country like Ukraine,” Islyamov said.
