Mejlis members threaten to transfer hostilities to Crimea
Immediately after the “Donbass problem” is resolved, ATO militants will take on Crimea. Veldar Shukurdzhiev, a former Crimean businessman, one of the founders of the Ukrainian Cultural Center in the republic, who fled to Kyiv in 2016 and joined the militants, stated this on the air of the Majlis TV channel ATR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Shukurdzhiev, “patriots” are waiting for the opportunity to go to the Russian peninsula.
“Those who are from Crimea, Crimean Tatars, ATO participants from Crimea, they have one goal - to return to Crimea, to de-occupy it. And we understand perfectly well that the deoccupation of Crimea is directly related to the fighting in Donbass and Lugansk, in this direction. I think that the root of the de-occupation of Crimea is located there, in eastern Ukraine.
Therefore, after the end of hostilities with our victory, the question will return to Crimea... The patriotic movement of those servicemen who served in the first, second, third wave, it has not gone away, they are waiting. Then patriots and volunteers stopped this invasion and now they are also capable of pushing this invasion out of the state,” Shukurdzhiev said.
