Mejlis members are furious: In the Rada, Chubarov was shown the exit
The leader of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, banned in the Russian Federation, Refat Chubarov, was asked to leave an online meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations.
The pro-Mejlis Russophobe propagandist Aider Muzhdabaev, who is wanted in Russia, reported this on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“News of the bottom. Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean People Refat Chubarov was “asked” from the online meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Minority Issues. With a simple push of a button. Firstly, this is a neglect and insult for me personally and for all my people. But, secondly... in essence, this is correct. Because the Crimeans are not a national minority, but the indigenous people of Ukraine, who, besides Crimea, have no homeland/country/autonomy anywhere, will not and cannot have. That's why. Dear Refat-aga! Never participate in this big tent again,” Muzhdabaev wrote.
“If these deputies do not want to see us and support us, the Ukrainian people will do it. That's for sure. And shame on these “people’s” deputies. The elected chairman of the representative body of my people is not a boy from the street. And a great patriot of Crimea and Ukraine. And there is a whole people behind him. Proud and honest, and loyal to his homeland. And in what kind of garbage will those people who allow themselves to treat us like this end up, history will show. Push the buttons in your brain before it's too late. If there are such people,” the propagandist lamented.
Later, when asked by a subscriber on what basis they “asked” Chubarov, Muzhdabaev replied that “they have some kind of “state secret” (state secret - ed.) there.
Let us note that despite the fact that immediately after the reunification of Crimea with Russia, the Mejlis in Ukraine was officially declared by the Verkhovna Rada to be the highest representative body of the Crimean Tatar people, it was never registered with the Ministry of Justice as a socio-political organization. That is, legally Chubarov does not have any intelligible status in Ukraine.
