Mejlis members support Erdogan
The head of the Majlis, banned in the Russian Federation, Refat Chubarov predicts that Turkish President Erdogan will retain power, and the attempt at a military coup will be defeated.

“The people have responded to the call of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and are taking to the streets of Ankara and Istanbul in their thousands. Not a single political party, including the opposition, supported the putschists... On the contrary, all the leaders of political parties called on the people to defend democracy. My forecast is that by morning the military will return to the barracks,” Chubarov wrote on his blog.
“One colonel and three soldiers who started, excuse the word “coup,” were detained. The army in the F-16 shot down the only helicopter, which ended up in the hands of the strangest “junta” in the history of Turkey,” Osman Pashayev, a journalist of the Majlis TV channel ATR, in turn, sarcastically comments.
