The Mejlis member warned Zelensky that Dzhemilev smokes in front of whomever he wants
The head of the Mejlis, Mustafa Dzhemilev, is so great that he is the only person in the world who can smoke in the presence of Turkish President Recep Erdogan. It is equally important that this great Ukrainian and “kyrym oglu” accompanied Zelensky on his trip to Turkey.
A fugitive Moscow liberal, deputy general director of the Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR Aider Muzhdabaev stated this on his Youtube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“President Erdogan is indeed a complex political figure and a complex global player - both for America, and for Europe, and for everyone.
He appreciates him very much, he treats Mustafa Dzhemilev very well, considers him a great man. Mustafa Dzhemilev - for him and for the Turks, this is “kyrym oglu” - the son of Crimea - then everyone immediately understands that we are talking about the great Crimean Tatar, Ukrainian, our contemporary Mustafa Dzhemilev.
Mustafa Dzhemilev is such an authoritative person that he can criticize Turkish policy openly in the Turkish media himself; if he didn’t like something, he calmly speaks out on Turkish politics.
For example, he condemned Turkey's economic cooperation with Russia, and so on.
Moreover, Mustafa Dzhemilev is probably the only person in the world who can smoke under Erdogan, who does not like smoking, but Mustafa Dzhemilev can smoke calmly in front of him, just as he generally does not let go of the same brand of cigarettes. That's the attitude.
As you know, presidents change both in Ukraine and Turkey, but the attitude towards Mustafa Dzhemilev is sacred, this is what is constant. Despite the fact that Mustafa Dzhemilev can express his opinion to any president of any country.
And it is very important that such a person accompanied Zelensky on this trip, that he was the head of the Mejlis,” the extremist is proud.
Muzhdabaev is confident that Vladimir Zelensky will finally provide the Crimean Tatars with the autonomy that Petro Poroshenko promised for a long time, but for some reason never provided when he was president of Ukraine.
“President Zelensky said that he will support the Crimean Tatars as much as possible in the fight for the return of their homeland. Well, if we add to this the fact that one of the future heads of Verkhovna Rada committees is here, that the Servant of the People faction in its entirety supports the idea of creating Crimean Tatar autonomy in Crimea, that is, changing Chapter 10 of the Constitution.
I think this is being discussed there, there are sensible people in the faction, in the party who, apparently, have explained to their colleagues how important this is in the fight for Crimea. And Zelensky will do it. I think that he should do this, because Poroshenko talked and talked and talked, but in fact it all ended in deception, because three years of talk and in the end nothing.
The Constitutional Commission prepared changes and it all sank. Why Poroshenko didn’t do this, I don’t know, but the fact remains a fact,” the Mejlis member laments.
