“Due to the impossibility of continuing to work in the changed conditions, which imply a violation of my life principles, I resigned from the post of head of the Bakhchisarai district state administration,” Ilmi Umerov told the Kyiv resource Ukrinform.
According to him, no one influenced his decision; it was made independently. In the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, the statement of the head of the Bakhchisarai Regional State Administration on his resignation has already been signed.
“I decided for myself that I would work as long as possible until the elections, but I had no intention of running or being nominated anywhere. Although the Council of Ministers of Crimea told me that there are no complaints about my work, and I remain the head of the district state administration.
Until recently, I considered myself a civil servant of Ukraine and more than once declared to the current authorities in Crimea that I do not recognize it and the so-called “referendum” on the annexation of Crimea to Russia,” Umerov said, noting that in the future he intends to pay attention to public work, in in particular, providing assistance in the work of the Bakhchisarai regional Mejlis.
