Islyamov also stated that for Mejlis members “to die for their land is an honor.” “We don’t expect provocations from mainland Ukraine, but what happens on the other side is an honor for us. It’s an honor to die for one’s own land, an honor to die for the liberation of Crimea. It's an honor for us. Liberation of the homeland or death, there is no other option for us,” Islyamov said.
