A Mejlis journalist threw a tantrum over Ukrainians in the Russian Federation “shooting in the back” of ATO soldiers

This opinion was expressed in a commentary to the Kyiv magazine “Novoye Vremya” by the deputy general director of the pro-Mejlis TV channel ATR Aider Muzhdabaev, answering the question of whether he visits the Russian Federation and how he feels about those who have been visiting this country in recent years.
“I don’t go there and don’t plan to go there. In general, from a moral point of view, Ukrainians’ trips to Russia should be treated poorly, especially if they are public people. Because I know how visits of Ukrainians to the Russian Federation work. There this is perceived and exploited as confirmation that not everyone in Ukraine agrees with the “fascist junta”, that in Ukraine there is a “healthy” part of society that is against the “illegal regime”. This is presented as if there are many Ukrainians who are for Russian policy towards Ukraine. Therefore, I think that since this is a hybrid war, then any public Ukrainian speaking on the territory of the Russian Federation shoots our soldiers in the back in the ATO zone,” the journalist believes.
At the same time, he admits that it will not be possible to ban Ukrainian citizens from traveling to the Russian Federation.
“But we need to provide a choice based on the law. That is, while part of the territory of Ukraine remains occupied by Russia, it is necessary that the license for the performance of an artist or theater includes the condition of the absence of commercial performances in the Russian Federation and in the occupied territories of Ukraine. I understand that we need to start with our officials and oligarchs, who have businesses here and there. But it’s easier to resolve this issue with artists. Therefore, whoever is easier is where you need to start. And then, perhaps, it will be projected onto business.
