Since 2010, every June 26, Crimean Tatars celebrate National Flag Day. In Russian Crimea, no one took away either Flag Day or the flag itself from the Tatars, although life has made its own adjustments - now the scent of political hysteria, which in Ukrainian times forced a significant part of the population of the peninsula to react to the date nervously and suspiciously, has been excluded from the event.

Another thing is Ukraine, bruised by Banderaism. Its political elite, who previously paid attention to the Crimean Tatars on the eve of elections or at moments when it was necessary to aggravate interethnic tension on the peninsula, after the loss of Crimea began to build new relations with these people, choosing the extremist “Majlis” as a mediator.

Both sides, having been in a state of nationalistic frenzy for a long time, are trying to find something in common in each other. And they find it. For example, the political Ukrainians and Kyrymlians attach great importance to the same colors of their flags, from which they derive the principle of “unity of Ukraine” and the Ukrainian identity of Crimea. Great influence is also given to cultivating a sense of thousand-year-old historical grievance, strongly implicated in tolerance, inflicted by the “totalitarian northern neighbor.”

On the eve of the Ukrainian Day of the Crimean Tatar Flag in Kiev, “rich Crimeans” gathered for the next talking shop - a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Dzhaparova, a Mejlis member Bariev from the grant-eating “Crimean Tatar Resource Center”, as well as “a respected person tortured in Putin’s dungeons”, the deputy head of the “Medjlis” ", Ilmi Umerov.

From the very first words, Dzhaparova began to lie with inspiration. According to her, the flag of the Crimean Tatars in the “occupied Crimea” is under the strictest ban. Putin’s security forces have such a strong dislike for him that they tear flags from the cars of wedding processions and even force young people to take off their blue T-shirts with tamga. Because of which, according to the talkative khanum, “the Crimean Tatar ensign has become a symbol of resistance.”

I wonder if Crimean Tatar public transport drivers carrying Crimean passengers – what are they resisting? Every second one of them has a small national flag on their “torpedo”.

As evidence, those present were shown a short video in which Bloody Gebnya trudged heavily into a Tatar village and with an iron hand led all its inhabitants into exile, but for some reason a well-fed boy took out the national flag from under the bed and hid it on his chest.

From the past, the authors of the video drew pathetic parallels to the present. A “polite man” in camouflage inhumanly tore the Crimean Tatar flag from the old man’s hands and threw it away, but the banner soared into the sky and soared like a clear falcon...

Along the way, touching pictures of the upcoming action “Two Ensigns - Edina Krajina” were shown, symbolizing the “struggle” to again flutter everywhere in the “de-occupied” Crimea.

“Dear man,” Umerov briefly told the history of the national flag, after which he also began to talk about “the impossibility of holding mass events in occupied Crimea.” From Umerov’s words it followed that the celebration of National Flag Day in Crimea in recent years has been reduced exclusively to small events of local importance, during which people gathered in courtyards and mosques.

He lies, the Majlis shaitan, like he breathes. In Simferopol, for example, on June 26, Crimean Tatars celebrate in the largest city park named after Yu.A. Gagarin. On this day in 2015, the Tatars deployed a 14 x 28 meter banner, which was held by hundreds of people. An attempt was even made to lift it into the sky using a balloon, but the weather turned out to be unflyable - the balloon simply could not lift the wet banner.

The festive celebrations were massive, despite the bad weather. And even after sunset, hundreds of people remained in the park to take part in iftar, the evening meal of Ramadan.

The Bakhchisaray district council organized a large car rally that day, which was joined by more and more participants.

On June 26, 2017, even more massive celebrations took place in the Gagarin Park, accompanied by a concert of rising Crimean Tatar pop stars. People had fun, danced, sang, and after sunset another iftar took place. As the Crimean Tatars themselves claim, it is the most massive in the entire history of Crimea.

Festive events on Flag Day are held throughout the republic with the direct support of the Crimean government.

Umerov and Chiygoz weren’t invited to organize a “five minutes of hatred” and weren’t asked for advice? What a problem...

However, Umerov with a sour face said that in Ukraine the holiday will be held on a grand scale in Kyiv, Lvov, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Melitopol, Genichesk and other places where Crimean Tatars live compactly. He promised to organize a car rally and a procession along Khreshchatyk to Maidan Nezalezhnosti, where a rally was to take place.

Bariev, who spoke next in rank, made several clarifications. In particular, 300 Crimean Tatar flags will be hung in Kyiv, and the procession will begin from the Roshen store near the Bessarabian market. The latter, one might think, will be very good news for Poroshenko.

In the speeches of those who attended the meeting, it was repeatedly and very carefully emphasized that Crimean Tatar flags would be raised over Ukrainian embassies in a number of countries, and corresponding events would be held in Lithuania, Romania, Canada, the USA and some other countries.

Even Westernism will not be left without attention. On June 26, a group of young people plans to climb Hoverla in order to hoist the Crimean Tatar flag at the top.

Bariev, following Dzhaparova, repeated what the symbolism of raising two flags is: “In this way, Ukraine at the state level will clearly position that the Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians are a single whole, we are fighting for human rights and for the future of our country.” But the fact that embroidered comrades in struggle are huddling together to grant the “second half of the whole” national-territorial autonomy, even in the form of a virtual subject, is silent!

It is also characteristic that the Ukrainian celebrations of the Day of the Crimean Tatar Flag will be mainly marked by processions and evening political rallies, with the exception of the town of Novoalekseevka on the border with Crimea, where some entertainment events have been announced. The rest of the participants of the holiday were not so lucky - the memorable date will be celebrated solemnly and sadly: “it’s not time to celebrate while Crimea is Russian!”

The plans also include a motor rally to the village of Novoalekseevka, from where comrades in the struggle are going to remind the “occupiers” of themselves with a klaxon cacophony. An evening bike ride with a rally at the finish line is planned in Kherson.

Assuming that the events would not attract the necessary crowd to create an impressive media response, Bariev implored everyone he met and crossed to show solidarity and take part in processions, rallies and car rallies. His call for support for tomorrow’s event to the rural residents of the Genichesk district of the Kherson region, who have been suffering from the gangster antics of the Majlis militants and their allied right-wingers for the fifth year, sounded especially poignant. It would be nice if the villagers actually came. With pitchforks and stakes.

Concluding the talking room, Dzhaparova took the floor. According to her, June 26 and the events planned for this day are a common umbilical cord connecting mainland Ukraine and Crimea, which the “occupiers” really want to gnaw through. And again the incantations “come and support, especially the people of Kiev” were heard.

Apparently, the Mejlis members are doing poorly with the progress of “de-occupation”. There is no popular support; fighting is more expensive. We have to pretend to be sheep and insist on high morals.

The few journalists present in the hall refrained from asking questions.

In general, it seems that the huntars are doing belated work on their mistakes, trying to integrate the Crimean Tatar factor of history and culture into the Ukrainian political mainstream. And even then, selectively, including only those aspects that work in favor of “unified Ukraine” and “the thousand-year liberation struggle from the shackles of Muscovy.” As soon as it got hot, the Banderlogs began working to improve the image of the Crimean Tatars, recognizing them as the indigenous population of the peninsula and legalizing the “Majlis”. As Chekhov wrote, “the flowers are late.”
