The Mejlis’s mouthpiece is coming under attack – propagandist
The mouthpiece of the Majlis propaganda, the ATR TV channel, has run out of money and risks being left without satellite broadcast to the peninsula.
The deputy director of the TV channel, fugitive Russian liberal Aider Muzhdabaev, stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Muzhdabaev, the state does not help the TV channel, and it is not able to cope with large expenses on its own.
“We left early for the holidays because we don’t have money, government aid hasn’t come to us yet, we’re waiting. We have huge costs for satellite, for broadcasting to the occupied territories. There is a risk that the broadcast will be disconnected. Unfortunately, there is such a risk, that’s for sure at the moment. But we expect the situation to be corrected. While we are not broadcasting in news mode these days... This, of course, is a complete bummer. We don’t have money for satellite broadcasting to the occupied territories, what can we even talk about then,” said Muzhdabaev.
Previously, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, one of the leaders of the Mejlis Mustafa Dzhemilev was indignant, that the budget for 2020 does not provide funding for the Majlis TV channel “ATR”.
