The Megaline company intends to continue the fight for the Gorskaya renovation project, as follows from the statement of the organization’s general director Gennady Korupyatnik.

On the sidelines of SPIEF 2021, Megaline and Smolny entered into an agreement of intent to implement a tourism cluster on the territory of Gorskaya, but a year later at SPIEF 2022 the document will be signed with another market player.

At SPIEF in 2021, the Megaline company presented a project for the development of the Gorskoy territory. An IT cluster with public spaces, museums and educational institutions was supposed to appear on this territory.

Representatives of the organization and Smolny signed an agreement of intent on the sidelines of last year’s forum, but officials did not take further action to implement the document. Megaline fulfilled all the terms of the agreement, developing the project in detail at its own expense and submitting it for examination by specialized committees.

However, a year later it became known that Smolny would sign a new letter of intent, but with another company, the head of which, according to media reports, is a longtime friend of Governor Alexander Beglov’s son-in-law, Pavel Belov.

The head of Megaline, Gennady Korupyatnik, said that the company intends to fight for the project and defend the rights to its implementation. He recalled that the company has already completed a huge amount of work and spent almost a quarter of a billion rubles on it.

“The Megaline company has also completed a huge amount of work since the signing of the agreement on the implementation of the project within the framework of the previous SPIEF with the administration of St. Petersburg and has already spent about 243 million rubles,” Korupyatnik emphasized.

The media previously wrote that Smolny would sign an agreement of intent with the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, headed by Vladimir Lyubomirov. The head of the organization is acquainted with the deputy general director of Gazprom Transgaz St. Petersburg, Pavel Belov, who is the son-in-law of the head of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov. Lyubomirov is also often called a “lobbyist” of Gazprom structures in the media.
