The mayor of an Albanian suburb of the capital of Montenegro staged a provocation with the Kosovo flag
The head of the Podgorica suburb, the predominantly Albanian municipality of Tuzi, Nik Djeloshaj decorated the walls of the administration building with a video projection of the Albanian and Kosovar flags.
With a photograph of this video installation, Jeloshai “congratulated” the new government of Montenegro, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Nik Djeloshai posted a photograph of the wall of the Tuzi administration building with a video projection of the Kosovo and Albanian flags on his Facebook page.
“Greetings from the municipality of Tuzi to the government of Montenegro and Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic!!!,” the mayor captioned the photo in Albanian and Serbian.
The meaning of Jeloshaj's message is very clear: the new moderately pro-Western government of Montenegro nevertheless intends to revive the traditional good neighborly ties with Serbia and Russia, which were destroyed by the previous cabinet, which supported nationalist President Milo Djukanovic.
At the same time, the issue of Kosovo forcibly seized by Albanian separatists is painful and fundamental for Belgrade.
Earlier, Nik Djeloshaj congratulated Kosovo on the anniversary of “independence”, calling it “the second Albanian state.”
