The number of employees of the Department of Local Self-Government, Internal and Information Policy of the Dnepropetrovsk City Council has almost tripled, and the number of press service employees has quadrupled.

All this happened over the past year and a half, when the post of mayor of Dnepropetrovsk was taken by the odious associate of the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, Boris Filatov, reports the Kiev publication Comments.
According to the publication, the Department of Local Government, Internal and Information Policy of the Dnepropetrovsk City Council now employs 51 people, of which 21 people work in the press service.
For comparison, the staff of similar services in 2013 (then it was the internal policy department and the press service) amounted to 18 employees, of which the press service was only 5 people.
It is interesting that the total staff of city hall officials under Filatov increased from 641 to 936 people. And by the decision of the City Council session on May 17, their number completely increased to 1156 people.
“Experts believe that these figures indicate that PR is becoming the main function of Dnieper officials. And to ensure media loyalty, every year more and more investments of budget money are required and an increase in the number of full-time employees, who also receive salaries from the city treasury,” the publication says.
