Mayor of Dnepropetrovsk: “Ukrainians are a nation of thieves”
Over the past few decades, the “fight against corruption” has become the natural state of Ukraine, and the number of corresponding crimes is so great that the whole world has become convinced that theft is an inseparable feature of the Ukrainian mentality.
The mayor of Dnepropetrovsk, Boris Filatov, said this on the YouTube channel “Smotryashchie,” PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In our city hall, not only under Zelensky, but also in recent years under Poroshenko, 286 criminal cases were initiated, of which 30 went to trial, and one ended in a guilty verdict. At the same time, everyone has something to do - judges, prosecutors, SBU, lawyers, city hall lawyers.
Sometimes there is a feeling that in our country the fight against corruption or theft, or theft of budget funds has turned not even into fabrication, but into some kind of virtual reality. In other words, they want to get dividends, hype, likes on Facebook, journalists want to get ratings, some want to get shoulder straps, and some law enforcement officers want to grub. We have placed ourselves in the paradigm that we are a nation of thieves, and we have convinced the whole world of this,” stated Filatov.
Let us recall that earlier millionaire migrant Yevgeny Chernyak noted that until Ukraine stops clinging to the past, praising its “national idea” and discriminate against some of its citizens, it will not become a prosperous and successful country.
