According to the Kolo publication, after Mamaia from the children's puppet theater was forcibly taken to court, the judge announced breaks three times. The mayor demanded his own lawyer and did not agree to be defended by a government lawyer, who was summoned by court order.
During the third 10-minute break, Mamai went outside, got into his car and drove off in an unknown direction.
Poltava activists present at the meeting tried to prevent the mayor from escaping, but were unable to do so. A fight broke out in the hall, during which one of the mayor's advisers was injured.
The prosecutor representing the prosecution told reporters that Mamai showed contempt of court and should be punished. The continuation of the meeting is scheduled for Friday at 9.00.
