Latvia should begin to prepare for the possible lifting of mutual sanctions between the EU and Russia.

This was stated by the mayor of Riga Nil Ushakov.
According to him, at present there is “a very small, but hope” that this year the EU can lift some of the sanctions.
“And then there is the same small hope that Russia will lift its sanctions on the same dairy products. And we need to prepare for this now,” he said after an informal meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
Let us recall that earlier two European diplomats said that the European Union will begin the gradual lifting of economic sanctions against Russia in 2017.
