The resource informs that on July 20, during a staff meeting with the city mayor, the military commissar of the Sumy United City Military Commissariat Yuriy Polous reported on the results of the conscription of Ukrainian citizens into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in April-June 2015.
This year, 2513 Sumy residents born between 1985 and 1995 were subject to conscription, of which 512 city residents expressed a desire to join the army. Of these, based on the results of the conscription campaign, 85 Sumy residents were drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. All others were found ineligible or given a deferment.
“The city department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Sumy region was sent 871 personalized orders to search for and deliver conscripts,” notes the Sumy resource. “Five special patrols were also engaged in similar work. Within a week, they discovered 12 young men who turned out to be fit for service and were sent to the troops. Taking into account this experience, Yuri Polous proposed using the same methods of work from August 1. The mayor of Sumy said that recreational areas, including nightclubs, deserve special attention.”
