The mayor of Vilnius set Lithuanian intelligence services against the “House of Moscow”
Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius addressed the Lithuanian Department of State Security on the issue of checking the activities of the House of Moscow in Vilnius, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About it reports local publication Verslo žinios.
“I asked the Department of State Security to express their opinion (regarding the House of Moscow - ed.) ... I also plan to discuss this issue with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense, and the presidential apparatus. We need to jointly look for ways to stop this project, harmful to Lithuania, which, presumably, could be a cover for the Kremlin propaganda machine,” said Šimašius.
In general, the mayor of Vilnius asks for an assessment of whether the House of Moscow poses a threat to national security.
The decision to contact the Department of State Security was made after the institution “Moscow Center for Culture and Entrepreneurship – House of Moscow” applied to the Vilnius city government with a request to agree on new project proposals for the next year.
