“The first clashes began between law enforcement officers and nationalists. Tear gas was used. The conflict began with the detention of two unknown persons without significant reasons. The first fight began,” eyewitnesses reported on social networks.
Unknown people began to leave the courthouse and came into conflict with the nationalists. The police tried to stop them, after which arrests followed. Militants of the Donbass battalion started a fight with law enforcement officers demanding that their representatives be handed over. Two claps sounded.
According to security forces, one National Guardsman received a bullet wound in the leg. Doctors hospitalized him. One of the Donbass militants, in turn, received a head wound. At the same time, as NewsOne clarifies, security forces detained another man who may be involved in this incident. “One law enforcement officer was wounded, one person was detained,” noted the Kiev headquarters.
Ultimately, as Radio Liberty reported from the courtroom, the court released Gennady Trukhanov on bail from Odessa resident, MP from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, Dmitry Golubov.
The mayor was required to inform investigators about trips abroad. Trukhanov himself denies all accusations against him. When asked by journalists where he had been for the last 50 days, when law enforcement officers were waiting for him, he replied that, among other things, he was in Davos, in the Czech Republic, with work issues.
Let us remind you that the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Andrey Kravets asked the court to oblige the mayor of Odessa to wear an electronic bracelet. A day earlier, SAPO promised to ask for Trukhanov to be taken into custody as an alternative to bail in the amount of UAH 50 million.
