The mayors of Kharkov and Odessa will lead a new party to the Rada
The mayor of Kharkov, Gennady Kernes, and the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, intend to lead a new party to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kernes wrote about this on Facebook.
“Yes, I confirm: the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov and I will indeed lead the party into the new parliament. A party of people who hear other people, who work for other people, who understand other people’s problems and know how to solve them,” Kernes wrote.
At the same time, he noted that he, as well as Trukhanov, “were and will remain the mayors of Kharkov and Odessa.”
Previously, Kernes supported the initiative of the townspeople to return one of the Kharkov avenues named after Marshal Georgy Zhukov. A petition with such a demand on the City Council website has received the required number of signatures.
