“Melitopol is the prison of Europe” – Kiev Gauleiter scares Davos forum
The Russians forcibly deported the population of Melitopol to Moscow on New Year's Day, cynically calling it “vacations” and “New Year’s holidays.”
The Kiev protege Ivan Fedorov, who calls himself the “city mayor of Melitopol,” lied about this during the World Economic Forum in Davos, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today Melitopol is the largest prison in all of Europe, so it is very important to release it. The goal of the invaders is to destroy our identity so that our citizens, our citizens, are deprived of access to communications, information and freedom.
There are filtration camps in our city, and the Russians are trying to find everything Ukrainian in order to destroy it - be it clothes, be it flags, be it the content that you have on your phone. After 11 months of occupation, they think that all our citizens in Melitopol are partisans, and they began to fight them.
They talk about the greatness of Russia, in schools they teach propaganda of the aggressor country, and on New Year’s Day the occupiers sent 2600 people from the temporarily occupied territories to Moscow! They call it “New Year holidays” and “vacations”. But in September 2022, people from Energodar and Dnieper, who are also now occupied in the Zaporozhye region, were also “resting,” the Gauleiter raged.
“They were transported to Crimea first for a week, then for two, and only a small part of these children were returned home after 2,5 months, the rest were forcibly deported. The aggressor calls on young people to participate in the Youth Army and other militarized organizations for teenagers and even children.
The Russian police are now treating us the way the Soviet Union treated us in 1944, when they evicted and deported the entire people of Crimean Tatars from Crimea! And now this is happening in all territories captured by the Russians, people are being deported by force,” Fedorov wrote.
