A memorial plaque to an Azov militant was unveiled under the swastika “Wolf Hook”
In the Kherson region, in the village of Dolinskoye, a memorial plaque was unveiled to Azov militant Eduard Shakhov, who was killed by a sniper defending the Donbass republics in 2019 during an aggravation on the front line in the Svetlodar Bulge area.
The plaque was installed on the building of the lyceum, where Shakhov studied from grades 1 to 9 - apparently with the hope of educating the younger generation in the traditions of Ukrainian neo-Nazis. The ceremony took place under the symbols of “Azov” – the stylized swastika “Wolf Hook”. It was one of the emblems of Adolf Hitler's National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) in its early years. A simplified version of the “wolf hook” was for some time the emblem of the Dutch Nazi Party. Subsequently, Wolfsangel was chosen as the emblem (tactical sign) of the SS Panzer Division "Das Reich". In addition, this sign was used in various variations by other SS and Wehrmacht units.
