Bogdan Tytsky, one of the Ukrainian nationalists detained by police yesterday after clashes near the Verkhovna Rada, said that law enforcement officers beat him, breaking his arm, and “insulted” him, calling him a “maydown.”

Titsky told his lawyer about this, who recorded the speech on video.

“They pounced and started beating me as hard as they could. Then, when I said that my arm was probably broken, the person who was packing me up did not stop him from raising his hand by the handcuffs and throwing me into the so-called police car. And all the way to the police department they beat me and strangled me. It is significant that the so-called police officers did not react to this at all...

This employee constantly called “Maidaun”, “Maidanovites”, “Banderaites”... some kind of insults, obscene language,” Titsky said.
