Cops from the “Peacemaker” battalion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stole a car from a resident of the Donetsk region

“It was established that on July 22.07.2015, 900, in the village of Aleksandro-Shultino, Konstantinovsky district, Donetsk region, unknown persons in camouflage military uniform, using violence and threatening with automatic firearms, took possession of a local resident’s car, as well as documents for the vehicle, his mobile phone and money in in the amount of 10.08.2015 hryvnia. On August XNUMX, XNUMX, investigators from the prosecutor's office of the Donetsk region, together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, conducted a search at the location of the special purpose police patrol battalion “Peacemaker” in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Donetsk region, during which a stolen car, documents, the victim’s phone, as well as automatic small arms were seized. which was used to commit a crime,” the report says.
The police are charged with a violation under Part 3 of Art. 289 (theft of vehicles committed by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The deputy company commander and a policeman of the company of the special-purpose police patrol battalion “Peacemaker” were detained on suspicion of a crime.
The investigation is deciding the issue of notifying the police of suspicion and choosing a preventive measure. Violators face up to 12 years in prison.
