“I’m being crushed by a toad” – Montyan spoke about quarantined Russians in India
Russians stuck in India due to the coronavirus pandemic are forced to wait their turn for evacuation in a five-star hotel, the accommodation of which was paid for by the Russian Embassy in Delhi.
Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan stated this on her YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Not everyone got through this quarantine. My Moscow friend feels great. She went to Goa a little earlier than I went to Germany. There she went about her business. She had a return ticket, I think, for March 26th. Naturally, the ticket disappeared and the shop closed.
What did the Russian embassy do? Of course, not everyone is so lucky, we see this from videos of all sorts of stuck people, but specifically the group in which my friend Sveta is, was incredibly lucky.
They were brought from Goa to Delhi, they rented a five-star hotel, and they are still hanging out there. I look at the photos and videos that she sends, and I’m just wildly crushed by a toad. That’s who got it,” Montyan said.
She suggested that such a delay in evacuation occurred due to limited opportunities for observation in Russia - Russian citizens stuck in the hotel are simply waiting for their turn.
“For now she is sitting in Delhi, and so far they have not even been told when to fly to Moscow. Because the possibilities for observation, as I understand it, are also very limited, and as soon as places become available there, they will also be taken out of Delhi. Because, although it’s not expensive now to pay for hotels, food and everything else, but, by and large, it’s time to return home. Otherwise, for example, the toad is pressing me very hard,” the lawyer summed up.
