Menyailo was elected governor of Sevastopol
Sevastopol, October 09 (PolitNavigator, Svetlana Ivanova) - Deputies of the legislative assembly at the session on Thursday elected Sergei Menyailo as governor of Sevastopol.
This was announced based on the results of a secret vote. 21 deputies supported Menyailo’s candidacy, 3 more did not vote.

Those present greeted the news of Menyailo's election with applause, after which the anthem of Sevastopol was performed in the hall.

Earlier, information appeared in the press that the Kremlin persistently asked the head of the legislative assembly, Alexei Chaly, despite the conflict with Menyailo, to ensure the support of his candidacy by deputies.
